Intercept Offers New Migration Path with Import DSN
Support for DSN File Transfer In/Out of Pantheon Provides Greater Flexibility
Atlanta, GA - January 24, 2014 – Intercept Technology Inc., a leading provider of PCB, RF, Hybrid, and high-speed design software, recently added a new import translator to its long list of 35+ database translators: Import DSN. This new file transfer format offers a migration path to Intercept software from a great number of EDA software applications. Since Intercept’s Pantheon already includes the ability to write a DSN file, the ability to read the same file creates a circular path that can benefit many design teams.
“The DSN format is widely used, so it made sense for us to enhance our output by also offering an equivalent input of the same file type,” says John Towers, Engineering Manager at Intercept. “Any time we see a format being shared among design groups for many different purposes, we ensure that our customers can do the same.”
As Intercept’s EDA software environment continues improvements with its ease of use and its hybrid, RF, and high speed design specialties, the addition of this new translator option creates opportunities for strategic moves into new areas of the EDA market. Stay tuned for related announcements, currently planned for release at DesignCon in Santa Clara, January 29th and 30th.
